‘The Battle between Shrovetide & Lent’ at Colchester Early Music Festival

Critically-acclaimed early music ensemble Passamezzo performs the eternal struggle between Carnival excess and Lenten austerity, leading the audience through the history of Shrove Tuesday and Lent in Britain by way of music, words and song from the 16th and 17th centuries.
